Just found out a bit more about this machine:
It is a 99K model and it was made in the Kilbowie factory at Clydebank, Scotland.
It was made between April 7th and April 25th 1939, I would assume around the 15th or 16th going off the part number.
It is 1 of 50,000 made during the 18 days of production at that factory.
Also, the 'load of spares' as I put it are actually worth around £150 on their own!
So grab a bargain quick before my mother grabs it! lol
Loads on eBay for less than £50 with loads of bits with them
There are loads about (my mum's got one and I've got the very same one you have in the loft!), just shows how well these things were made - loads of car manufacturers went into car production after sewing machines, Singer included!
