Vets changing Advocate to Primovox this stuff Doesn't work so ask your Vet to Order Advocate in don't listen to Nonsense it's identical it Isn't.
I phoned Vets for Advocate as dog scratching as got a skin problem so treat every year with Advocate and he is great skin greasy so waterproof. They palmed my Mrs of with this New Primovox myself would of refused it as Advocate is brilliant.
Let's say I wasn't happy at All now we are ordering Advocate to treat Max so over a week of scratching and biting unnecessary if just ordered it in the first place. Anyway don't be afraid to say what you want.
YOU ARE THE CUSTOMER.
Do research don't take my word as am a Stranger as there is a few unhappy customers palmed off with Primovox. Picture of Max

Both Advocate and Prinovox flea treatments are made and sold under the same licences which belong to Bayer/KVP Pharma. The ingredients are identical.

There are plenty of other flea treatments which are near enough worthless imho

Bayer also make Advantage (for dogs, not cats where it can be toxic!) which changes one of the active ingredients, this is the one I generally recommend and usually find treatment can be cut down to once every two months after the initial two treatments.

A lot depends on the dog, its environment etc, if one treatment doesn't appear to work then its worth trying another. But it is always checking the ingredients and/or licence number to avoid paying extra for expensive marketing (which may be as irritating as fleas).

Hi this Prinovox doesn't work put 2 pips on max and 3rd day still scratching through night he was up and down. With him being big he can be noisy scratching especially if leans against door so tired so we pinned him down and squeezed 2 more pips on him. Today still scratching so 10 days later same as before I even put any on him. With advocate kicked in second or 3rd day we check him with Nit comb's so we thought it was mites Vet said "NO". Thoe when put Advocate on he is fine then months later scratching again so give him a Xlarge pip and back to normal self. Being doing this for years and I know Advocate works. My Father use to say "If Works don't touch". Prinovox might have same ingredients but is inferior. Off to Vet's today to pick up Advocate 2 box's of the stuff with him being large lucky I never bought a king German Shepherd so so big. Saw a king in New Ferry made my GSD look stunted and inferior I was definitely have one of them. Thoe Max is the last legs really hurting when walking also Vet bills going up so I won't be talked in to having anymore.

Have you tried adding cod liver oil to his food? It did wonders for one of my dog’s aches and pains. Just make sure it hasn’t got any added vitamins as the dosage would probably be too high for a dog.

Pink Floyd Atom Heart Mother
Hi Thought about it but i use to work for Boots and spoke to many Pharmacy Staff who do prescription`s and told me there waste of money better to buy Fresh Fish and Fruit and eat those greens. So when eating Haddock give the dog the skin. Soon as pick up Advocate he will be back to normal he is getting more grey thoe am hoping he has years left but this breed has a Flaw there hips. Noticed small things with rear legs when coming down stairs as i gave the dog a single mattress from a old bed then pushed it up to our bed so he spreads out on it.

hi, for years now i have had my suspicions about vetinary drugs ever since it came to light that forgeries of human drugs were flooding U.K. everything from cancer drugs to viagra are for sale and they contain no dose of any drug whatsoever. if this is the case with human stuff there is no doubt in my mind that animal medicines have also been targeted especially considering the price. i treated my last rescue dog for over 3 years with tablets and shampoos from a vets and still never completely cured his skin condition and in fact i am sure that it was more a case of good diet and care that stopped his itch than all the medication, i think that i will get in touch with "dispatches" on channel four since you have raised the issue in my mind again. if there is any interest would you mind if i npassed on your comments? david
