Cats often return to their previous home, worthwhile checking there.

Mine did that. 8 miles he walked. It was a distinctive 3 legged cat.

We put up posters and had lots of calls of sightings which - when viewed on map - were in a direct line to the old house.

We had a cat that did the opposite. Our old neighbours moved to a new house. When they arrived, they opened the van doors and out strolled our cat!

They very kindly brought her back - they hadn't moved very far. Or perhaps they'd moved to get away from her! Who knows.
