if this is genuine? No mention of whereabouts in Wirral, but if I owned a dog I'd be worried, and would pay special attention to any white-painted bricks by gateways. It's just been shared on Facebook:
Ok peeps heads up... There is a yellow van going around the Wirral stealing dogs from homes....... Also they are marking homes that they are targeting by painting a brick white.... Share share share....

Sorry, not quite with you there. Does that mean it isn't genuine? (which would be a relief, of course). In which case, what on earth would be the point of spreading it, I wonder?

Genuine or not. Thanks for the heads up.

Heard the painting brick thing related to old vunerable people who are easy to con. Why paint a brick white and risk incurring the wrath of house owner--- its as daft as people believing The Twin Towers collapsed because 2 planes hit them whistle

This same thing seems to happen every year about this time.
Its horrific as they steal the dogs for dog bait.To entertain there savage hounds.
This really is upsetting.I do hope they get caught.
Used to be a white van.Dont think its a scam.

You may think it odd, but strange things always seem to happen when the circus is back in town, or nearby.
It has been happening for a few years now, I could be wrong, but having noted so many incidents at similar times, it's just as a warning. Travellers can disappear so easily.

Ha! Ha !

I remember years ago when we had a problem with locking the car door or something, till the problem was sorted, we put a box on the back seat with holes in and the lid just looking a bit skewed , and a very authentic block caps notice on the side which said SNAKES IN TRANSIT. LOL.

Has anyone heard of any 'dog thefts' in the area, recently ?

There is a reason for this question, not just a random post.
