Poor Bluey was found in Storton Woods :((

i wonder if the dogs were known to be very friendly,or the person who took them knew them personally? i love dogs and once owned a large dog but i was still apprehensive of approaching large dogs i didnt know, this doesnt sound like a random act to me.
Posted By: silvertigra Re: please keep your dogs inside - 12th Dec 2012 11:07am
ahhh so sorry to hear this! its sad to think your dogs are not safe in your own garden! All praise to the rottie he has done really well finding his way home if he has walked from storeton to wallasey.

Rocks i agree,we had an Alsatian that 'lived' in a large kennel outside and would not have let any one she did,nt know near her , i for one would not approach random dogs!!!!!!!
Different when in the park in 'play mode' with their owners. Then i will interact with them ,as do their owners with our sally!
Poor Bluey and owners!!!!!!

a friend of mine has been approached by a guy in a blue transit van about his huskies he was very interested, apparently they use them for dog fighting because the husky is harder to kill

If that is so it seems to me that the human race is regressing at an alarming rate.

So what you are saying is they are stealing huskies for dog fighting.{cruel sports and also betting money on what dog wins}

Source?

This is very worrying. Scared to take mine outside now. I think i'll be taking a very large baseball bat to the woods in future
Posted By: Tilly Re: please keep your dogs inside - 13th Dec 2012 10:49am
Many dogs stolen are used as bait for the ... bags
dogs, the majority of bait dogs found have their muzzles
duck taped so they can't injure their own dogs in a fight.
This is happening everywhere, many bait dogs are from
free to good home pet sites, or stolen.

This is really shocking news. When you think your dog is going to a good home.
Don t homechecks exist anymore?

if you contact some reputable rescues homeschecks are always done, and updates. But if you want to rehome/sell a dog/pups privately, you should always do your own homechecks and microchip, no matter what price you put on them.
