When my cat had kittens and I was weaning them onto wet food/ dry food, I used to put some wet food on my finger and they would come over and smell it then lick the jelly. Once they got interested (might take a few days) with it on my finger I would move it down near the food bowl and they eventually would eat it. That's if you don't mind touching the cat food
. Also this might sound cruel but if your kitten is hungry enough he/she will eat it so I wouldn't give it chicken and ham.
Completely agree Elyth, took a bit of time to wean mine. They eventually go off the milk (I started to add water until that was what they wanted).
When I first tried to feed them dry food when they were older, they wouldn't have anything to do with it. A quick sniff, look of disgust, heads up, tails up, then walking away like it was beneath them
I persevered because I didn't want to leave wet food out in the heat of the day when I'm at work, So now they have dry food in the morning and wet of an evening.
Also I think some dry food is good for their teeth, most pet insurances don't cover cats teeth.
Remember: Dogs have owners - Cats have staff
Good luck
