Ring Seaview Vets sofie. I wouldnt display mobile number on a public forum if i where you hun. If he goes to RSPCS they will homecheck you anyway. if he goes to the pound in Birkenhead, he wont be available to adopt for 7/10 days they dont homecheck for gsd's (more's the pity)

I would of looked after him until his owner was found if I didnt have 5 gsd's already. I am only round the corner from seaview vets..I hope he doesnt have to see or stay inside birkenhead dog pound poor lad...

You find an awful lot of "abandoned" dogs Tilly.

That dog is clearly looked after and it's owner is probably worried about it.

He does really look well cared for but the vet said he is very underweight..I didn't find him.

i could be wrong but he looks like the dog from george majors recycling center by bidston tip??

I'm sure their dog is short haired tho, I saw it there last week, ..looking at this dogs coat he doesn't look like an outdoor living dog, and staff at vets say he's very friendly but very thin too.

It's a good job he didn't meet the conductor rail when on the tracks ! A good looking dog indeed.

Just rang the vets, possible owner going to see him at 3pm today. I will ring them later to find out any more info xx

Saw him this morning crossing Europa Boulevard with (I presume) his owner.

it must of been a dog look-a-like because he didnt get picked up from Seaview vets until 6pm this evening

I was going to say all long haired GSD'a look the same to me, but it really was a spitting image. Couldn't have been getting walked by a volunteer could he?

Apparently the owner left the front door open and never noticed for some time he had gone walk about, and.... He declined the vets advice to get him chipped there and then so until it becomes law to microchip all dogs there's not a lot they can do. some owners are just plain ignorant..it makes me wonder if this boy had been taken to the pound would he have paid to get him back out or just left him in there? lets hope we never have to find out.

All our door are open, my gsd never even thinks about escaping, no matter where I go kitchen, garden, toilet, she follows, can't do anything alone anymore...LOL
