Thanks missy smile I was walking down the road and twisted my ankle, went funny on it and ended up breaking my Fibula. Got out of hospital Friday after an operation putting a plate on it!

i dont detect but love seeing what people find. THe river Alyn at Loggerheads disappears down a swallow hole in summer and leaves mile or so of dry river bed. There were alot of mine workings and people working in the area years ago so i reckon the river bed could throw up some interesting finds. I had abrief look and found some old broken china

That sounds very interesting Fish5133, thanks for sharing. I might go and check it out in the summer smile

Just read your other thread (re: where you found them), i always wanted a metal detector when i were younger, i never did get one.

How did you find out it is illegal to detect in public?
I would never have known if i did not read your thread.

When I was first getting into metal detecting I would do google searches for "metal detecting Wirral", and came across the council site saying it was illegal. Its a shame really.
