Hey Derek it doesn`t look like it says "New" Inn above the window. Looks like it ends in "EY"

Not seen that site before - it looks like whomever runs it has gotten their pics from same sources as me or off wikiwirral though

The photo is definitely of the Mersey Inn at 246 New Chester Road. The name above the door is that of Edward Amos who was the licencee until his death on 24th December 1883.
