This pub was originally opened in 1878

It still stands today in a derelict state and is up for sale.

No wonder it hasn't sold, they want £300,000 for it.

I’ve just read this post for the second time and realised that I misread it first time when I thought it said £30,000 asking price which I thought was a lot for a derelict pub,but £300,000,wow! Perhaps the owners have heard that Peel Holdings have it on their wish list.

I think that's their goal, they probably think peel will buy it like they've bought everything else.

They haven't even done their homework on the history of the place, they refer to it as the former bonkers pub for refurbishment, who would want to restore it back to bonkers?
Thats what destroyed it.

All that paint needs to be taken off the building to expose the tiled brickwork again.

For sale website
They are certainly talking it up.
• Opposite Peel Development
• Busy busy location
• Secure Yard (the yard is not secure, it only has Blok N Mesh fencing)
• On Site Parking
• Refurbishment Opportunity
• Freehold

And this is my favourite.
• Competitive Price.

Agreed on the opinion of them hoping Peel will buy it.
