This cottage in Burton, called Barn End, was once an inn called "The Fisherman's Arms", it was known locally as "The Noah's Ark" and "The Robbers' Den".

Wow I always thought burton must have had a pub every day as i drive to work, now i know! cheers!

There was another one in Burton, called "The Royal Oak", it closed in 1860 and was in the High Street in a building called Rake House.

Read somewhere that Burton once had eleven pubs. It was a port in days long gone.
