This cottage in Burton, called Barn End, was once an inn called "The Fisherman's Arms", it was known locally as "The Noah's Ark" and "The Robbers' Den".

There was another one in Burton, called "The Royal Oak", it closed in 1860 and was in the High Street in a building called Rake House.

Read somewhere that Burton once had eleven pubs. It was a port in days long gone.
