I believe the above photo is of the Chester Hotel, Parkgate (grid reference SJ 280 778) as is the photo below. Those who remember it refer to it as the Chester Arms.
By 1961 it had changed name to the Old Quay, then in 1963 a new building was constructed close to the old one. The new building was also named the Old Quay and the old premises was demolished.
Also shown - a map c1910 and a 2008 aerial view of the Old Quay (facing south).
