WOw ! That is happy news, he's probably been waiting for all those fish with an inbuilt mechanism. Thanks for the update Cools, I bet everyone is overjoyed. Will catch up later with the chat on there, see what they are saying. yipee

Try again Granny...he's probably been using his inbuilt mechanism waiting for all the fish to arrive. (even 'mechanism' is the wrong word, but alzheimer's could be creeping up and before you start Dilly, you do know what I mean with the word 'mechanism' .) smile

Here you are Cools, and anyone else who might become a fan of OTIS the WONDER BEAR. He's lost a bit of weight.

That's a great picture of Otis Granny . Did you snap it or was it someone's else's? I have to copy other peoples pics. It's been really interesting the last few days lots if lovely images of Grazer and her 3 little ones, even 2 bears yesterday mating, everybody switched cameras and left them in peace of course, ahem...no really I become obsessed by the bear saga, have to tune in alot....

That was someone else's picture Cools, that was taken earlier.. There is a problem with the photos' tonight. Everyone is having trouble.

The bears are all so spirited, it's really wonderful to see them so energised again. So far I have not seen the babies and doubt I would recognize Grazer, I can only go on what others say.

Just hoping these bears are not taking priority to housework, Cools, that would never do !

Here he is.. the one and only Otis !

Fish below him, fish above him. He sits and watches until one jumps into his mouth, or else he pierces the biggest fish with his toe nail. A very accomplished fisher.

My goodness, he has been attacked, it looks quite deep too. Poor old Otis.

Guess what's on BBC1 on 23 July ? 'Wild Arctic Live' and guess what they showed a picture of ? ......yes, you got it , the bears at the falls. That should be good to watch.

It hasn't stopped him eating mountains of salmon , they have so much only eating the best bits of fish , place littered with salmon carcasses. I'll make sure I watch that thanks Granny.

Does he normally sleep there ? Hope he's ok .
Posted By: cools Re: Otis - 10th Aug 2017 6:22pm
No everybody was Abit worried but think he was so tired he couldn't walk far. He slept for 13 hours and we were all relieved to see him eventually wake up , catch a salmon for brekki then trundle off down river. Think his age is beginning to catch up with him , one of the oldest bears there. It was funny because there were thousands of us tuning in just watching this ol bear sleeping, haha..
