wow, Im amazed the likes of West Kirby/Caldy didnt feature . As for Warrington - the people I know from there hated it!
What a load of eyewash. In the Liverpool Echo link, Ipswich is in Kent.! Wrong Ipswich is in Suffolk. Kesgrave is not a particularly desirable place but they have a Tesco, so that would keep them happy.
The rest of them, it has to be said, where or rather How is this complied. Seems another waste of resources, and making the promise of property prices going up to fall in line with other areas.

What part of Warrington is WA1? The most desirable place in the town has always been Stockton Heath & Appleton and they're in WA4.

And I always though that Mumbles was the best part of Swansea.

And Dalton in Furness isn't that great, you're stuck between Barrow and Ulverston.
I think the report should have Most Convenient place to live as the results only relate to how easy it is to get to certain locations and not desirability.
Yes, just because a lot of people live there, that doesn't make it more desirable. Convenience is the key.
WA1 is the centre of Warrington.!

Maybe they are the most desirable postcodes for keeping the postmen in a job ?
This survey was about a range of factors, not desirability or most expensive. I live in New Brighton CH45, I know its the best place to live and work.

The fact that Wirral appears three times in the top 10 is a good thing? Isnt it?

Ive lived all over the UK, in some great places and in great communities.I agree with this survey as I chose New Brighton as a place to settle, Great outdoors, great people, great pubs, great connections.

WA1 is just outside of town centre (lived there for nigh on 20 years, WA2 before that), it's very convenient, I wouldn't say desirable as such but it's not horrible by any means. As you say the better parts are on the outskirts, Stockton Heath, Appleton, Lymm, Grappenhall etc.
As a town though Warrington is a bit grim.
