I know the actual advert has been posted before, albeit with no actual worthy opinion, of it other than an an abundance of the 'dying laughing' icons.

However, I am now hearing that people are actually offended by this advert??

'My children have viewed it'- the person said. 'How can I explain it to them'? Easy- in my head. What is there to explain, exactly?? If they don't ask, then don't explain. if they do ask 'why is there a fella dancing around in high heels? Just reply: because he wants too.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-heeled_footwear Men wore high heeled shoes way before women did, anyhow.

is it just me who cannot see why this advert is 'offensive'?

I see it no more offensive than a Panto dame, clowns in a circus or Dame Edna Everage . Its just the flipping pc brigade going over the top again. My only criticism would be from an advertising point of view--I think the format initially overshadows the product . I must have watched it a couple of times before what even noticing what it was advertising! However, once you realize what its for, I think the sheer ridiculousness of the sight helps to fix it in your mind.

For sheer rememberability though I loved the robot dancing car that Citroen brought out www.youtube.com/watch?v=4dilUbkP-PI

The Meerkat ones will be iconic too.

Very tacky & in bad taste. But that is probably an age thing!
It's just daft. But we're talking about it, so on that level it has achieved its aim. Worst thing about it for me is Sharon Osborne's totally wooden delivery of the tagline. Wonder how much she was paid for that?
