So who hasnt had there recycling bin emptied today?
One sight of snow and yet again another excuse for them not to come round.

Well ours is totally full and were gonna have to start putting it in our Green bin which means when they collect there gonna have to take twice as much rubbish in bags left by the bin.

Really annoys me as others services still carry on working.

Our recycling pickup was last week,they failed to turn up until the next day.The same has happened today with the green bin.Now 5pm still no sign and all the bins are still out in the street,prob until tmw.

You know their excuse will be the bad weather!!!
Well we had a bit of snow dusting this morning, i came home at midday and the road and pavement was clear, just wet, and home again tonight to find bin not emptied!! Completely full as had a good clearout at weekend and loaded it up!
If i phone em i know the excuse........... might use the same when next council tax comes around, "sorry, cudnt pay cause or the ADVERSE weather conditions, maybe i will pay tomorrow, if not will be in a fortnight!"
Bet they are quick enough to shaft me over that one eh?

Yer i agree with u hoseman... i saw them down the road this morning, again this afternoon when i was on my way to college.. also at tea time.. but nothing! grrssss!

Same as Snodvan, regular service, regular time, around 8am.

Bins were collected round here too.

Someone in our road just told me thay have rang the bin men and thay will be emptied a.s.a.p!

Anyone know what I can do about getting my green bin emptied ? My neighbour helps put it out for me for various reasons but she forgot last week. I'd forgot 2 weeks ago so, its been a month, and the bin is full now.

I got on to streetscene by email last thursday and explained but all they said was put it out next week before 7am. I emailed right back again to tell that isnt acceptable or appropriate as by then it will be 6 weeks and a pretty nasty health hazard but I've had no reply for 4 days now. Do I lodge a complaint, give up - what ? Any advice would be cool thanks.

I don`t think the weather is to blame,as they was late last week to empty the grey bin and was it snowing last week.NO.

Alot of the lorry drivers get taken off the bin duties to go on the gritting trucks, its more of an emergency than the bin collection........

I dont think biffa do the gritting anymore its the corpy!

thats right cos a mate of mine worked the gritters last year and was getting paid a bundle in overtime from the council,nothing to do with binmen,as a sidenote mine were emptied wednesday as normal.

They said that they have to take the word of the Driver
that the road was inaccessible.

So i pay for my collection and there not taking my word.


Just a Note :
My Road was Clear and 2 cars parked in the street.

Should of took a pictures with time and date on it mate, and sent it to them.
