My mums been great for cleaning clothes, since like forever...

But recently, since its been important how ya smell (Nights out) It seems like my clothes actually havent been washed.

Its not me, but after like 1 hour of being on a night out, my t-shirts become noticeably sweaty, and begin to stink vividly after a short while. I cant handle it!! If my t-shirts stink for no reason, how the feck am I to pull??

Reckon I should say something to her??

Its gotten that bad, that I literlaly came home early tonight...12 something as opposed to 3 am ish. Thinm of the talent Im missing out on. My "Mates" are giving me stick about it, but I honestly cant handle it. Its never happened before in the past 7 years Ive been going out !!!!!!!1

BTW, I know that my mum does everything for me...she goes above and beyond the call of duty...

But this wont just be happening with me...but the whole family.

Ive no idea what to say like??

And yes, I do wear anti-Perspirant...
Posted By: MissGuided Re: Is this too harsh??? - 15th Sep 2008 10:15pm
is this for real?
Posted By: chiccy Re: Is this too harsh??? - 15th Sep 2008 10:15pm
she changed washin powders?
Posted By: MGCraig Re: Is this too harsh??? - 15th Sep 2008 10:18pm
Yea, its for real... Its really important to me. A mate last year used to sell really bad all night...and I used to tell him. I used to smell amazing all night...and its not fair.

She may well have changed washing powder etc..bt Ive been noticing it at home every now and then, and thought it may have been a one off.

Im not a selfish barstard btw, but I dont want to stink on a night out...and as I say...my mums literally amazing !!
Posted By: MissGuided Re: Is this too harsh??? - 15th Sep 2008 10:19pm
here's an idea:

wash your clothes yourself

then you'll know precisely what powder/liquid/softener was used
Posted By: mike849 Re: Is this too harsh??? - 15th Sep 2008 10:20pm
you could do your own washing i do or maybe its a hint for you to do your own washing?!
Posted By: MissGuided Re: Is this too harsh??? - 15th Sep 2008 10:21pm
I smell a conspiracy
Posted By: MGCraig Re: Is this too harsh??? - 15th Sep 2008 10:23pm
well, now Im at uni, I will be, and I can confirm that My clothes wont be smelling like they are.

I just dunno whether or not to tell my mum, in case she has changed washing powders or something.
Posted By: MissGuided Re: Is this too harsh??? - 15th Sep 2008 10:26pm
why don't you go and inspect said detergent. Maybe she's buying it from ALDI these days...
Posted By: mike849 Re: Is this too harsh??? - 15th Sep 2008 10:28pm
raftl ive done my own washing for years my mum does it wrong!! frown
Posted By: MissGuided Re: Is this too harsh??? - 15th Sep 2008 10:30pm
maybe you should mention it. It could be a fault with the machine. Alternatively, you could wear extra deodorant, or walk into a cloud of febreeze before you leave the house, or buy new t-shirts each week.

Posted By: chiccy Re: Is this too harsh??? - 15th Sep 2008 10:54pm
it could well be the machine..?

i would mention it in a nice way hun, rather than leave it, has any one else in the house noticed it!?
Posted By: MGCraig Re: Is this too harsh??? - 15th Sep 2008 10:57pm
I dunno....Im away from everyone else atm..and now ive got other musiclly orientated things on my mind
Posted By: Pomp Re: Is this too harsh??? - 15th Sep 2008 11:46pm
Bring fragrance out with u wink
Spray before u approach the ladies

Ask ye mum if she has changed washin
powder and if it is then u can tell her to stick with the old one as you think
its much better. If its not the washing powder must be a problem with the washing machine.
Posted By: MGCraig Re: Is this too harsh??? - 15th Sep 2008 11:53pm
Thats the problem people...

I showered....sprayed anti Perspiarnt....then a bit of the after shave..like I always have done...and will continue to do so...

But tonight, my t-shirt smelt slightly odd when putting it on...like they all have recently....and it just seemed to give way after a few hours and stink..its never happened before...and as a result...Im now gonna go to bed....whilst my mates are out, dancing their night away for another 2 hours.

Ive decided to say something tomorrow...and either wash all mu cloths myself..or buy a new t-shirt
Posted By: MissGuided Re: Is this too harsh??? - 15th Sep 2008 11:56pm
sounds like the machine mate
Posted By: jonah Re: Is this too harsh??? - 16th Sep 2008 12:46am
how long is the stuff in the machine before being put to dry.... ? it maybe the softner she uses too, or lack of it...., or stale water staying in the pipe/machine after washing, every now and then, we put the machine on a boil wash with no clothes in, just soap and conditioner to clean it out....
Posted By: Mark Re: Is this too harsh??? - 16th Sep 2008 7:34am
Your Mad lol

Be prepared too . . . .

Wash your clothes
Cook your Tea
Tidy your Room

Wear a crash helmet when pointing out to mums there faults...

I still think its a lame excuse from not getting a bird raftl
Posted By: MGCraig Re: Is this too harsh??? - 16th Sep 2008 9:00am

Posted By: MissGuided Re: Is this too harsh??? - 16th Sep 2008 9:33am
Hey yes - that may be it - clothes have sat in the machine for a while. Is your mum maybe a bit busy with something these days? You need to get her in to line! lol whippy

withthat

Also does your mum leave the door open on the washing machine? as this can cause a smell.

I think its only when sweat (male or female) is fresh that pheromones may have an effect (if any) on other individuals.

"There are alarm pheromones, food trail pheromones, sex pheromones, and many others that affect behavior or physiology" Wikipaedia

Maybe you're sending out the wrong pheromones, Craig.

Hey Hey Hey.....Im 21 in December, ok.....

Im passed all that "New smells...body changing" Lark....
raftl

The T-shirt smelt weird when putting it on, and to be honest they all have recently...so its either the machine, or washing powder etc.

Einen Mother has been busy though, she makes cakes for a living at Home...so is always busy.

Its definately the T-Shirt, it smelt funny when I put it on, and recently, a lot of my t-shirts have.

OK, techy input

Does mum's washing machine have a separate drawer in which she puts detergent powder/ liquid on one compartment and fabric softener in another?

She may use "tablets" rather than powder/ liquid in a drawer but does she still use fabric softener in the drawer?

I have a Hoover washing machine and it has a drawer like that

Let me know and I will advise further if appropriate

oooh i do like a good debate
Posted By: Wench Re: Is this too harsh??? - 17th Sep 2008 10:39am
Personally, I find men that can and do cook, clean etc much more attractive than those that don't or can't. I look for an equal as a partner - not someone I have to be a "mother" to!! Even if they are no good at cooking and cleaning, I'd be more impressed at the fact they had at least tried.
Posted By: mike849 Re: Is this too harsh??? - 17th Sep 2008 10:44am
true! it is better when your partner can clean and cook! im like my mum now once i get sratrted i get everything done! my friends think i have OCD as my room at my raf camp is always clean! but some of the people here are complete mingers with the way they live!
