i think it has one use and one use only, pizzas
i find it easier to put it on a pizza i'm making than fresh grated cheese which generally just clumps together
cos it has a much greater surface area it loses moisture and hardens quickly once opened
id rather buy and use fresh
we keep a fresh block for butties then we grate a block, bag it and freeze it so it doesnt clump together and sprinkles really well over pizza or spuds
