i think it has one use and one use only, pizzas

i find it easier to put it on a pizza i'm making than fresh grated cheese which generally just clumps together

cos it has a much greater surface area it loses moisture and hardens quickly once opened


id rather buy and use fresh

we keep a fresh block for butties then we grate a block, bag it and freeze it so it doesnt clump together and sprinkles really well over pizza or spuds

i used to work at a cheese counter and the cheese they use for grated is all the odds and sods (and hard bits) they couldnt sell which is why some bags are multi colours

thats sacriledge cheese is too good for that !

it went in the bin (thats all it was really fit for) or it was grated and sold!!
