A mountain bike in very good condition (newish) has been found. It was obviously dumped by some no mark. This is in the Wallasey area.

Please send a message and I will pass on details of where it is but you will have to fully identify it before it will be passed over. Police have been informed but don't seem too bothered!!!

Ive lost one. Its metal with two wheels and pedals. There is a sticking out thing in the middle that looks like a seat. When can I collect?

Hmph! I found a bike once, dumped by my back door. I did the right thing and handed it in to the police. They took my details telling me that if no-one claimed it in 30 days, it was mine.

30 days came and went and I heard nothing, so assuming it had been claimed, I rang them up a couple of days later to check that was the case. It wasn't. No-one had claimed it, so it had been "sold it at auction"! I asked why I hadn't been contacted since the bike became legally mine after the 30 days. The excuse I got was, "they didn't have any contact details regarding the bike." Yeah, right!

So there you go... ripped off by the cops!

Helles, thank you for your post, there are some obviously thankless posters here who have answered you, take no notice, if someone has lost a bike and sees your post hopefully it will be theirs and they will be made up.

To the hecklers, dont bother posting if you have lost something, because, personally I wouldnt tell you if it was raining and you were going to get wet.

Ah, good old technology. Gone are the days when we had to open the door and stick our hand out to see if its raining. Now we can use the new invention "The Window" just one look and we can now see if the raindrops are here again.

I have never heard of someone saying "I wouldnt tell you if it was raining and you were going to get wet. "

Seems very pointless.
