Have just driven along the prom and came across a police car pulled onto the pavement.
Sadly it appears that a lady who was very drunk dried to drown herself.A young lad of about 17 had wadded in after her and pulled her back out of the water.
I have more details but shall not put them on here.
As I left an ambulance arrived to take her away

I don't think they would, a group of lads might start laughing but at some point human nature would kick in and one of them would try to help.

To watch someone doing something silly groups might see it as a sign of weakness to help, but if someone is about to die then people will very often risk their own life to save a stranger.

Passed that as well, I wondered what had happened. I think she's ok, they had her in the police car not the ambulance from what I could see.
