Hi, There's been what looks like a bad car crash at the bottom of Bedford Road, in Rock Ferry. 4 Fire engines in attendance, Paramedics and plenty off Police too.
Couldn't hang around, as had to get my kids home to bed. Happened probably about 8pm ish Can anybody supply any other info?!!

Oh dear that sounds bad.

Yeah Bezzy it does....from what I saw looked like the fire brigade were using their cutting equipment. Also looked like they had ploughed into the railings outside the Bathroom place on New Chester Road.

Yes Nobody you could be right, but it could be a completely innocent accident. There could also have been children in either of those cars. I sincerely hope there wasn't!!!

Straws and clutching?

There's a reason there's no such thing as an RTA anymore, it's an RTC. Accidents don't just happen if nobody has made a mistake.

Still, I hope everyone makes a full recovery.

You are right! But at least now we have it in writing that you do make mistakes!

The German Polizei always reckons there's no such thing as an accident, someone is always to blame and that is the premise they work and whoever caused the crash gets done good style. Too many red light runners around in this town, probably the same elsewhere, but don't half see some near misses. The law of averages says someone has to come unstuck sometime.

I was there at the time of the crash. One car jumped a red which, at a busy crossroad, is asking for trouble.

The passenger in the car that skipped the red seemed quite hurt and had to be cut free, whilst the the light skipping driver seemed to escape with mere cuts and bruises. The other person involved in the crash swallowed a tooth and damaged his leg, but he was more concerned about his car (Which was a total write off)

I was called to give a statement, but haven't heard anything back, so I'm hoping silence is golden!

Police have taken up to three months to ask for a statement, insurance companies even longer - in my experience

Yes. The police. That's why it took me so long to post this whistle

Written of... the 4x4 looked as if it got off quite lightly, or do you mean the other car (red Rover I think)

Cars on NCR do try and make those lights when they have some speed up (not saying that is what happened this time) and cars coming down Bedford Road I've seen (and had to) brake quite heavily to avoid them, you can't see much until you're on the junction.
