So sad but suspected it was coming. Feel for our Queen she will be lost without him. He fulfilled his role as a husband and a loyal consort . R.I.P Prince Phillip...
Very sad, but at least he died safely at Windsor, out of the public eye, with the Queen, not in hospital. The Queen is such a strong woman, but I'm thinking she will feel lost now.

I think so too, very sad indeed. I went past the Birkenhead Fire Station a few hours ago, and they already had the flag at half mast, which I thought was a nice touch.
I think flags are being flown at half mast until the day after his funeral, whenever that will be. Large gatherings are out of the question - for anyone who gives a damn about the rules, anyway! - so the flags are one way of showing respect. No idea how they'll sort out the funeral - its a big family and funerals are supposed to be restricted to 30 at present. Hmm...
Yes it should be a state funeral and one he deserves., but obviously wretched covid put paid to that. Maybe on the day we may be asked to stand on doorsteps or something...Think this may be the time the queen will hand over to Charles or William..
I'm not going to rejoice in the death of anyone. It is always sad when someone dies and this is no exception, but I always thought he was a bit of a bully, and not overly concerned about other people's feelings. Charles, his son, seems a much nicer person.
Looks like Andrew is stamping his feet and wants to wear an Admirals uniform, why must they cast a cloud over the proceedings ? Wouldn't it be better for him to keep a low profile with all the allegations against him? and let his dad have a good send off.
William and Edward in uniform, Andrew and Harry in suits - that sounds tidy. If Andrew has any sense he won't draw any undue attention to himself at a time like this. It won't do him any favours.
