I think the rumours of Russia being involved in the poisoning of Sergei Skripal and his daughter are a bit premature.

There are a number of other countries/groups who would like to see the UK-Russia relationship deteriorating into a cold war again, in fact Russia comes pretty low down on the list of countries that may benefit from this.

We will see as time goes on, if Sergei and/or his daughter survive then I would totally discount Russia's involvement.

May have even been our own MI6. The police seemed quickly onto the chemical thing and the police statement the other evening wasnt totally convincing... Cloak and dagger stuff spy books are made off.

The Gareth Williams case was chillingly inconclusive..got the impression in that case that they know exactly who what how why but not PC to publish it.

Irrespective of who the perpetrators are, I think the Russian's description of our egregious Foreign Secretary, Boris's speech as 'Wild' was spot on!

High time this clown was put out to graze.

Russia are becoming unstoppable. Weekly they test our air defences. They've had a big hand in the US elections.

When Kim Jong announces some Korean missile test, Trump goes mad on Twitter about it and threatens him.

Yet Russia announce a new package of nuclear weapons and Trump says nothing.

When you've got your biggest rival put securely in their place, there's nothing to stop you.

They've had a big hand in the US elections..........That turned out to be a nothing burger,

Is the Uk now going to blame the Russians on everything that happens.

They have always done that, as we and the US do to them as well. Since 2002 we even have the Open Skies Treaty whereby other countries spy planes fly over each other's countries. Its all a bit of gamesmanship alongside the usual accusations of who wrongly broached whose border. Its when these things stop happening you need to worry as that is when inter-cooperation has died out.

The Russian announcement was in reply to Trumps announcement where he promises to develop an arsenal “so strong and powerful that it will deter any acts of aggression”.

But we really should stop trying our best to wind Russia up as we have in recent years. This is where the military with its own agenda is playing politics.
