Never followed him much beyond the early stuff in 70s which enjoyed as a teenager. What I learnt today was that he actually wrote "All the young dudes" for Mott the Hoople. My 25 year old son has just walked past me and said he has been down all day because Bowies dead..that says how good an artist he was.

Guy on radio Merseyside phone in recommended this appearance on the OGWT

I see the David Bowie paedo stories are now 'doing the rounds' on social media.

Was 'sex, drugs, rock n roll' a culture accepted in the 70s and thus seen as normal behaviour amongst 'Stars'?? and the general public too??

I remember the Bill Wyman/ Mandy Smith stuff in the papers in the mid eighties and even at the time I could not understand why Bill was not arrested?

Quite normal, and David bowie was bi-sexual. There's nothing new these days that us old buggers didn't live through. You must have missed out !

I'm in my early 40s Granny. My introduction to David Bowie was through my parents, initially. Grew up with Bowie.

'Dancing In The Street' with Mick Jagger. Us girls dancing around in the P.E changing room. We loved it!!! Fond memories.
