Children as young as four have been mistakenly sprayed with "hot chilli" by Gwent Police.

On Wednesday, officers visited Ysgol Gymraeg Gilfach Fargoed, in Bargoed, Caerphilly county, and gave a lesson on equipment used by the force.

But instead of demonstrating a mock PAVA spray, which replaced CS spray, officers discharged a real canister.

The spray, used on eight pupils aged four and five, causes the eyes to close and is extremely painful....

N.B. None of the parents reactions have been quoted in this report and sounds as if everything was at the just fine by the end of the day. Grrrrrrrr!

They should sue them all for millions then the welsh police will have to sack all the scouse hating policemen to pay the bill

Agreed take there money just as they take ours, they`ll probably stick up more Speed Cameras,its ridiculousness,this one was voted the worst in Europe 2010 and has since been moved further up from the bridge at Green fields, even the locals were complaining, it was hard not get snapped by this because the speed limit changes from 40mph just before the bridge to 30 just after,they put the Camera right on the other side of it,but it was hidden by the bridge which is also on a tight bend,Its not a built up aria there are no houses or Schools by it, so why put one there http://www.newsnorthwales.co.uk/new...e-rack-up-240k-fines-in-three-years.aspx

Where were half of this lot when they were handing brains out??

This camera was the first to get me in 30 years of driving clocked me at 36mph. Had a high sided lorry in front of me which obscured the 30mph sign . The next to get me was near Lairds where some scaffold was obscuring the 30mph sign --did take photos and sent to court but they just came back and said it was built up area with lampposts at whatever metres. Took the fine and the points rather than the speed awareness course---you then end up a worse driver as your eyes are more on your speedo than the road.
