Ransom spam tricks you into thinking there is a problem with your computer and wanting to charge you to unlock or fix your PC.

Ive personally had lots of bogus bogus financial email this week and increasing. So this artical lets me know im not the only one.

Dont open suspicious emails.

I'm getting loads of phishing emails purporting to be from BT and referring to the mail changeover. They did actually get me a few weeks ago, Nigerians, and fouled up my 'putor. It took some sorting out and had to change my passwords etc. And to me that's why McKinnon should have been let go to the US to face the music, I hate hackers.

I've had the "Cheshire Police" ransomware on my PC and it's a right bugger. Watch out for it.

Some reckon it can be fixed if you can boot to Safe mode and run Malwarebytes. I ended up doing a clean install of XP.
