Minority giving the majority a bad name....

As the clock struck 11am, the Islamic protesters burned a model of a poppy and chanted 'British soldiers burn in hell'.

If you burnt such an effigy in some muslim countrys, youd be facing the death penalty!

Makes me sick how they can do something like that!!!
Sickening. Im also saddened to see ramblings on f.b of people blaming and posting racist abuse towards ALL Muslims. frown

I think many Muslims will be offended by these lowlifes burning the poppy, during WW2 many Muslims volunteered for the British Indian Army and many lost their lives as well as other Muslims around the world, In their ignorance by burning the poppy they are insulting people of their own faith, though i must say, people of a better calibre. Its a pity we can't deport them for inciting racial hatred.

I never try and get angered by a minority group of foreign Grrrrs with no say in anything, but there'd be something satisfying about launching a skip load of bricks into that little protest. It's all about exposure, that's the only reason they're doing it.

Why does it make the Nationals? Only encourages the ignorants to vent their misguided vitriolic abuse on f.b and the likes....
Thanks Bert, you have put into words what I would struggle to say.

I think it has to make the Nationals. People have the right to know whats going on in their country. The burning of the Koran made it world wide, why shouldn't this? If there was a news blackout on this wouldn't that be censorship? And I watched most of the BBC news at 10 and saw no mention of this, although i may have missed it.

Because time and time again, the actions of minoritys have implications for the majority. In the summer there seemed to be a massive f.b muslim backlash that originated as a tiny 'drip drip' article in the daily star about a tiny, tiny minority who were offended by the flying of St. George flags during the World Cup, for instance.

police should have got there names for back ground checks

In my opinion, once the young and ignorant just read sensationalist headlines, it becomes "fashionable" to join any group on f.b and continue the vile, racist abuse. Disclaimer. Not all young people are ignorant. smile

It's just a big circle of hate, and i really don't see an end to it.

It's a two way street. All youngsters learn from their peers and there is brainwashing on all sides as everyone believes that their views are the right ones - ignorance breeds ignorance unfortunately

So I guess these evil turds have never looked at the Merchant Navy Memorial on the Thames and had a quick look at the Liverpool Merchant Navy Memorial or come to that any Royal Navel Memorials at the names of the fallen,I think their great grandads or just grandads will be more than upset with their offspring when the day of reckoning comes.

Why the media sensationalises news like this is beyond me. It just encourages similar behaviour by others. Wonder if they would still act for noteriety if they were ignored by the press?

The problem is this ok, the government can put our taxes up struggle to feed the homeless etc....... but if the problem was dealt with fom a different perspective, there would be no unempolyed or homeless and our taxes may not need to rise, we are too soft in this country!

Burning Poppies on Rememberance Day: If you're going to do this then do it the way a brave and fearless veteran would. Don't fade and stand on the outside looking in from the periphery of a 'protected area'. Wade in and stand where the masses are. Stand in the middle of the thousands wearing uniforms and the tens of thousands there to pay them respect, show honour and give thanks. If you're going to do this, stand up, be counted and show your faces. COWARDS!!

I respect the dead Armed Forces members of all races, religions and creeds who have lost their lives in the service of this country. Those who behave like this can have no respect for their own if they can't respect others.

I don't have a problem with anyone but this evil minority! Members of my family and some of my friends have died so that they can spout their hatred in this country! Those who did this should be put on a plane and barred from EVER re-entering this country! I'm baffled as to why they were not arrested as they broke at least 2 laws!! But then, I think we know the answer to that no

Thats what i mean too Kim!
The sooner they realise that their 72 virgins are virgins because they don't put out, whether they are warriors or not, then the sooner they will realise they are being fed a load of twaddle.
These few attention seekers probably don't even have a clue about what they are protesing about. They're just yobs like you get anywhere, black, white, yellow or brown, just plain yobs. They want to offend and get their faces in the paper. Maybe we should burn their benefit claims. They are no different to the BNP or the yobs who recently beat a dying cancer victim up.

... are ... and will jump on any sensitive issue to show how tough they are (not).

The thing to do is not let them get to you or make you hate the vast majority of Muslims who would condemn what they did. Dressed up as wannabe taliban an this week, they will probably be dressed in football shirts stamping on someone's head next week.

this country is a piss take they break the law by insiting hatered but if i put a harmless gollywog on my van i can be arressted for it but you and i know its only a teddy ffs oh and that lady couldnt display her collection of model pigs because it offended a muslim!
oh what a spineless fecking goverment we have!!!

Look, this problem would have been sorted out years ago but for the little fact that the Muslims control most of the worlds oil. This is the sole reason the west cannot upset their religion.

I have to agree with an earlier poster re the merchant navy memorials. I was at the pierhead today looking at it and one ship was full of Muhammeds, Abduls etc. They died for this country as well.

Re the poppies, strange don't you think that the main protagonists in Afghanistan make most of their terrorist cash from real poppies.
Really stupid that they decided to burn poppies. The Poppy is an international symbol for the dead of wars anywhere. It's not a British symbol. So why burn it???

IT's OK, I've got two gollywogs in my house, I really don't think they're illegal.
