A pizza delivery worker has been left with a fractured skull after he was attacked with a blunt implement by two men, police have said.

The 36-year-old man was attacked as he looked for an address near the junction of Cyril Crescent and Newport Road in Cardiff at 2320 GMT on Friday.

He was knocked to the ground and discovered by a passer-by who called the emergency services.

It is thought his attackers left the scene in a dark coloured car.

Detectives have launched an investigation and are appealing for information.

The man, who is being treated in the city's University Hospital of Wales for a skull fracture and other injuries, is described as being in a stable condition.

Police have issued a description of one of the men who is thought to have been involved in the assault.

He is described as possibly Asian in appearance, aged 35 to 40, 5ft 10in to 5ft 11in tall, with large eyes and was wearing glasses.

The victim was not robbed of any possessions during the assault.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any other information is urged to contact Det Con Mike Owens at Cathays CID on 029 2052 7267 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Sounds like a racial attack by the fact it was an asian attacker who stole nothing.

Its either from the victim or the attacker but if i had my say it would be the victim.

Something doesn`t add up here think
