The possible contamination has been traced to a leaking pipe at a Cadbury's plant in Herefordshire in January.

Samples were sent to an independent laboratory after the leak was discovered at the Marlbrook plant, and the montevideo strain of salmonella was identified.

Government watchdog the Health Protection Agency (HPA) confirmed the strain and, a week ago, the Food Standards Agency (FSA) was alerted.

This is why I buy Tesco Value and Somerfield Chocolate; avoid all of the Cadbury's crap, they seem to have problems every few months lately!!

Dont knock the Somerfield own brand chocolate, it is actually very nice! And the Tesco white chocolate is indistinguishable from Cadbury Dream bars!!
Posted By: Cali_16v Re: Cadbury salmonella scare probed - 13th Jan 2008 7:56pm
don't do white choc, all tastes the same anyway.

not knocking it just saying my taste buds not enjoy it.
