Is there any hope of any of us travelling on these trains before we die of old age? At nearly 80, this seems a diminishing prospect for me.
What's the hold up? Did Amazon deliver them to the wrong house?
I'm pretty certain you'll see them on the Wirral Line before then end of the year. Just about everything that could go wrong went wrong, some platforms having to upgraded twice, Covid slowing down the upgrade to both platforms and signalling etc.
There is still the ongoing battle over the manning of the new trains with no resolution despite the "positive" words coming from Merseyrail.
You are lucky to find any trains at the moment with the amount of stock having to be pulled because of the wheel bearing oversight. Someone somewhere attempting to use statistics to replace inspection with a resulting epic fail.
Merseyrail tweeted a day or two ago that they'll not be in service until 2023.
It does feel like they have been showboating the artists impression of the them on socal media, for at least 10 years now.
Quite amusing last week they were boasting that as there were no more strikes there would be a regular 15 minute service again.
And every day without exception that promise was broken due to broken down trains and shortages of train crew!
