Part of this week's Merseytravel News Update

Wirral is the latest area to be reviewed as part of a wider review of the whole Liverpool City Region bus network, with the aim of creating an improved and simpler network.

As part of this review, we are looking for feedback and information from the public about how they use the bus network in the area, particularly any supported bus service.

The first stage of review is to gather your thoughts and feedback on bus services in the area, which will help inform potential changes.

You can view the proposals and give your feedback at the following events:

•Monday 27th February, 10am – 3pm – Liscard Cherry Tree Shopping Centre
•Thursday 2nd March, 10am – 3pm – Heswall Tesco
•Friday 3rd March, 10am – 3pm – Birkenhead Bus Station

By "improved" they mean cheaper, by reducing the amount of subsidised services.

Would have thought the bus companies should have enough collective data to know how the public use the network. The individual views of a handful of bus users is hardly representive. Sounds like a PR exercise to say "Following extensive conversations with bus users we are going to make thes changes......."

"Improved and simpler" sounds an oxymoron to me. Simpler sounds like fewer buses which would hardly be an improvement.
