The pictures from New Zealand look amazing. Not so from here though.....shame .

sent my lad up to Thursaston Hill and he waited 2 hours--disappointed like a lot of others up there...

I saw them once flying over
Northern Canada in winter
with the cabin lights down
in the middle of the night.
You do need very dark
conditions to see them, any
street lights will make them
disappear.
