Wallasey tunnel closed due to police incident - 29th Apr 2013 5:05pm
THE Wallasey tunnel is currently closed because of a police incident.
Emergency crews, including police and firefighters, were gathered near the Liverpool entrance to the tunnel this evening.
Witnesses described seeing several trucks which appeared to have been pulled over by police.
A Mersey Tunnels police spokesman said the incident was "ongoing" and the tunnel was closed to traffic, but would not give any further details.
