Westminster has been the cheapest council tax in the country for a long time now. Plus, there are many others that are cheaper than WMBC.
That is no doubt why, the Government have put restrictions on many councils.They knew that many councils were over spending at the expense of the council tax payers and have been for a long time.
Wirral was third highest in the country not so long ago, it did reduce to fifth highest by 2007. Liverpool were the highest in the country but could be slightly different now.
