i was driving past bidston hill loads of police cars and the chopper over head doing some sort of search

anyone know whats gone on???

did get told my a lad someone had been killed in a tent, but dont know how true that is???

'A young male (obviously due to age and an on going operation to get him i can't give you a name)

The male is wanted for a recent arson were a baby was inside the building (you may be aware of this?) but he went on the run and was hiding out in Bidston Hill woods. Police have been informed he has a gun and there were threats to shoot the police if they tried to get him.

Hence the massive attention it got the other day. that person has now got of elsewhere as he is aware there well onto him and hopefully today or very soon they will catch him.

People in Bidston don't need to fear anything and should go about there business, i hope you can understand that i cant give you names as i suspect the police for there own reasons dont want this public yet. the wirral public can be rest assured the police are doing everything to apprehend this male.

The police have found the male in questions friends daughters handbag + keys in a tent on Bidston Hill & she has been missing since Wednesday her name is Hannah and she is 17 and has long dark hair and she apparently is very 'gullible' as was described to us. We are now waiting to get a picture of her and for more information.'

There are 3 police on Eleanor Road blocking all the entrances to the woods and telling people they can't walk their dogs on the hill. There are also a number of police cars and armed response on the pathway up to the observatory. The path is blocked off by an orange camera van and only letting police cars through.

oh no hope the young girl is found safe and well

well i hope she is ok ive heard otherwise and hed already been nicked and released on the arson

UPDATE: a girls body has been found. And last night when walking there dogs they found a girls belongings and phoned the police because it looked suspicious and the police said they would send someone to look and when they eventually went up a short while ago they found a body and said they will now have to make statement.
UPDATE: Information from a reliable source also states that the body has been there for some time.

A TEENAGER has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman's body was found amongst undergrowth near a Wirral observatory.

Police officers made the grim discovery near to the Grade II listed Bidston Hill observatory following a phone call from a concerned member of the public.

The body of the victim, believed to be in her late teens and yet to be formally identified, was found at around 5.30pm on Saturday amongst the acres of undergrowth within the nature area's protected rare heathland.

An 18-year-old man from Moreton has been arrested on suspicion of murder and he is being questioned by detectives.

Police specialists have attended the scene and officers are appealing to anyone who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously on Bidston Hill over the last few days to come forward.

A Home Office post mortem examination to establish the cause of death is expected to take place on Sunday.

BREAKING NEWS Wirral youth arrested over murder inquiry Facebook comments



A 17-year-old youth from Seacombe has been arrested on suspicion of making malicious comments in connection with the Hannah Windsor murder inquiry after allegedly sending a menacing message via Facebook to a 15-year-old girl.

The youth was arrested on Monday night after officers received a report from the victim that a threatening message had been sent to her on the social networking site.

The youth has been taken to a police station on Merseyside for questioning by detectives.

Detective Chief Inspector Dave McCaughrean, of Wirral CID, said: "It is wholly unacceptable for malicious and threatening messages to be sent via social networking sites and the Force works closely with network providers and sites to take action against those responsible.

"An offence is committed as soon as a message is sent so it does not even have to reach the intended recipient, and it can be reported by anyone who is grossly offended by it, not neccessarily just the victim.

"Anyone guilty of an offence can be jailed for up to six months and fined, leaving them with a criminal record which will stay with them for life.

"Whenever a complaint or allegation is made to the police about despicable online behaviour, we use our specialists in the Hi-Tech Crime Unit to secure the evidence then pass it to the investigation team to use in their case.

"It is a complex and lengthy process, often involving the use of lots of different legistation and enquiries having to be made overseas, but ultimately if we have evidence of a crime taking place, we will do what is neccessary to trace those responsible and bring them to justice."

I was under the impression this was some ADHD fuelled rage that was a little like him going on a rampage, burning the house then killing Hannah.

I didn't realise they'd arrested him for that and released him - if that's true.

Truly despicable but I don't know enough about Adam and his special educational needs to make an informed opinion on anything else.

My sister inlaw said they arrested him for the arson and released him.
It was his sister house he set alight.

Adam Lewis, of Fairmead Avenue, went before the bench to face charges for murder and two counts of rape between May 15 and May 20.

The 18-year-old is also charged with arson with intent to endanger life at a house in Orchard Road, Moreton, on May 12.

Hannah's body was found on Bidston Hill on Saturday in undergrowth near the Observatory following a call from a member of the public.

A post-mortem examination revealed she died as a result of multiple injuries
Lewis will appear at Liverpool Crown Court on Friday, May 25, with preliminary hearing scheduled for June 6.
