Cops launch fresh appeal for killer of dad in West Kirby eight years on

AN APPEAL has been launched to find a killer on the eighth anniversary of the death of a Merseyside dad.

Dad-of-one Peter Singleton was killed by a masked gunman in West Kirby, Wirral, on March 27, 2003.
The 26-year-old was standing with his girlfriend and their son, three, on Column Road when he was shot.

He suffered head and stomach injuries and died in hospital.

Detectives want information about a white Vauxhall Astra and to trace two men seen leaving the scene.

After the shooting, the van sped off along Grange Cross Lane and was found burnt out in Carr Lane, Moreton.

Two men wearing dark clothes entered Westry Close from the path and ran toward Millhouse Lane.

Anyone with information should call 0151 777 8676.

Gunman looks like a Burton's model.
Family lay flowers on the grass verge by the place that he was shot. Only for snobby residents to remove them soon after.

That's disgusting isn't it!

Whether true or not, a lot of stories went round about it being a drugs related shooting.

I can't see them finding the killer after all this time though!
