Hello,

I just wanted to let everybody know that people are currently being invited to have their say on the future of transport in Merseyside.

Earlier this year, local people and businesses were asked for their views on what the transport system that will help the area achieve its full potential should look like.

Now, Merseyside Transport Partnership needs to come up with a plan for putting these ideas into action. The views gathered will be used to shape the area’s next Local Transport Plan (LTP3), which is due to start in April 2011.

Transport is the lifeblood of Merseyside and it is crucial that as many people as possible – whether young or old, drivers or non-drivers, businesses or members of the public - are involved in planning for the future.

To have your say, visit www.transportmerseyside.org before 30th November 2010.

Oh this one is easy! And please add anything I have forgotten

1. Reinstate arrowe park roundabout
2. remove all the new lights at Asda/M53 and put a roundabout in
3. remove all buses from the roads during peak hours!
4. remove speed humps that arent outside schools
5. remove speed cameras that arent outside schools
6. widen the roads where there are grass verges
7. fine anyone who has a drive and parks on the road
8. more urban freeways during rush hours and more traffic wardens to police them
9. no speed limit on the motorway unless bad weather
10 switch off traffic lights after 10pm just let them flash yellow and revert to give ways

Hurry up and build that station at the end of the Mill house estate in Moreton. It should have been done 15 years ago. Oh and stop wasting money on distracting ugly street clutter like those signs everywhere displaying highly dubious and vaguely worded road accident statistics. Design road layouts with continues traffic flow as much as possible in mind rather than thinking that more traffic lights are the answer to everything. Is someone getting back handers off the manufacturers or something?.

Oh ive just noticed that we have to go to that website to moan

Had a look at their questionaire and it's framed so that us plebs can't understand what the h%ll it's about, nice one, pretend we are in the honoured circle but shut us out with gobildy gook.

My list

fine all vehicles that park on the pavements,I don't mean cars with just two wheels on the pavement but one's that put the the whole bl**dy car and you can't get past,on the same subject pedestrian access on the pavement make people cut their hedges up to their boundry walls and lets have the pavement free to walk on and not have to go through a jungle or go on the road, also cycle training for the cycle idiots who insist that cyclists are immune from having to keep to the highway code, and red on traffic lights still means it's ok for them to carry on.
PS. I do cycle.

Sack the people who were involved redoing the road markings at the B&Q roundabout and the Clatterbridge roundabout, roundabouts have natural lanes around them and people get used to them until some twit re-marks them and nothing lines up and this produces chaos as people jostle to position themselves for the correct lane.
