Police appeal following burglary at Wirral clothes shop

POLICE are appealing for information following a burglary at a clothes shop in Heswall.

At about 10am on Thursday, August 5, the owner of Keiko clothing on Telegraph Road contacted police to report that her store had been burgled.

During the burglary, more than £3,500 worth of designer children's clothing was stolen.

The clothing is very exclusive and includes items from the following ranges; Jottum, Catimini, Cakewalk and Bourget.

Police are urging anyone who may have been offered such items to contact them.

Constable Simon Andrews said: "The offenders may well try to sell these items to other shops or even members of the public.

"Remember, if a deal seems too good to be true, it probably is. If you buy something that is stolen you may well make yourself liable to be arrested for handling stolen goods.

"We are keen to catch the criminals who try to sell stolen goods. Anyone with information about this burglary, those involved or the items taken is asked to contact the police."

Anyone with information is asked to contact Merseyside Police on 0151 777 2552 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
