Wirral restaurant evacuated during fire - 12th Jan 2010 11:11am
A RESTAURANT in Liscard was evacuated when fire broke out on Monday night.
Fire crews were called to Chutney's in Liscard Way at around 9.30pm to tackle the blaze, which is believed to have started in an electricity metre cupboard.
The five staff inside the restaurant had to leave as smoke filled the dining room.
The restaurant, which had living accommodation above, suffered smoke and fire damage. Smoke alarms had been fitted and were activated.
