Seven police cars torched at Maghull police station
BRAZEN arsonists torched seven police cars during a flash raid on a Merseyside station.

The raiders targeted a row of cars and vans parked in the Maghull station’s yard.
Three cars were entirely burned out in this morning’s attack. Others – including two yellow police vans – were damaged in the 2.30am attack.
It is believed the raiders scaled a wall before smashing car windows and throwing petrol bombs inside.
They also stuffed rags into the fuel tanks of several cars before setting them alight and then fleeing the scene.
Stunned officers at the station in Westway, Maghull, immediately called firefighters
Crews from Aintree and Buckley Hill spend and hour-and-a-half putting out the blaze.
No-one was hurt in the attack but police confirmed several vehicles were badly damaged.
Detectives confirmed the raid is being treated as arson.
Officers hope local petrol station workers can help them track the raiders down.
They want details of anyone seen filling containers rather than cars with fuel shortly before the attack.
A Merseyside Police spokesman said: “A number of vehicles were damaged.
“We’ve launched an investigation so would appeal for anyone who has any information to contact us.”
