Appeal for witnesses to a burglary at Wirral foodstore POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a robbery at a foodstore in Upton at the weekend.

At around 9.40pm on Saturday, May 16, three men entered the Co-Operative store in Manor Drive and threatened members of staff.

They took money from the tills and a quantity of cigarettes before leaving the store by the back of the building.

The members of staff were left feeling shocked and upset but were unhurt.

It is believed there may have been a fourth offender who waited outside the store.

The offenders are described as having local accents and they were wearing hoods and balaclavas.

Anyone who saw anything or who has any information is asked to call police on 0151 777 2282 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

wow, i used to go there all the time when I lived round the corner, absolutly shocking.
