Merseyside Police investigate unexplained death of man found badly injured in garden of house in Clarendon Road, Wallasey



THREE people are being questioned on suspicion of murder after a badly injured man was found in the garden of a house in Egremont yesterday evening.

Merseyside Police has confirmed it is investigating the unexplained death in Clarendon Road, near to Wallasey Town Hall, that happened around 7pm last night.

Officers attended the address after the 43-year-old man was found collapsed in the back yard of the property.

He was taken to Arrowe Park Hospital where he died shortly afterwards.

Two men and a woman were arrested in connection with the incident and are being questioned by detectives.

A Home Office post mortem is due to take place today.

Police name man found collapsed in Wallasey garden

Police have named a 43-year-old man who died after he was found collapsed in a Wallasey garden on Tuesday night as Stephen Alan Pickering.

At about 7pm Mr Pickering was found in the backyard of a property in Clarendon Road and taken to hospital where he died shortly afterwards.

A post mortem to establish the cause of death has been completed and its results are being withheld pending further tests.

The two men, aged 46 and 44, and a 38-year-old woman who were arrested in connection with the investigation have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Enquiries are ongoing.

The crime statistics in wallasey seem to be increasing by the minute lately. I am shocked at the sheer amount of crime that has been reported here in the last month alone and you really have to wonder at just what goes unreported. What a stinking cesspit this place has become.
