Witness appeal following robbery at Wirral hotel


POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a robbery at a hotel in Eastham on Sunday morning.

At around 4.40am two men entered the Stanley Arms Hotel in Stanley Lane.

They threatened the licensee and forced her to tell them where the takings were kept.

One of the men remained with the victim whilst the other found the takings, they then left, with a quantity of money.

The victim was left with minor injuries and shaken by the incident.

Both of the offenders had their faces covered and spoke with Liverpool accents. One of them is described as, 6ft 1in tall. He was wearing expensive looking suede boots.
