A GREASBY petrol station is at the centre of an international police investigation after the discovery of a high tech credit card scam.

Officers discovered that a tiny camera had been used to record the PIN details of customers withdrawing cash in conjunction with "readers" on slots which "clone" cards at the BP Greasby Road station.

Customers are now being urged to check back over their bank statements after hundreds of customers complained of irregularities in their accounts.

Merseyside Police confirmed to Wirral News that it was investigating having been contacted by three major banks.

Cash has been extracted on the cards in London and Thailand, and police are currently proceeding on the basis that the spy camera was fitted with the help of a person who had legitimate access to the premises.

Hahahahahaha just another reason to avoid BP like the plague. I have never used the Greasby one cos the prices are always stupidly high (same with the new Moreton one) but here is another reason to stay away.
