Sightseeing tours of the Mersey Tunnels are being increased to cope with public demand - just six months after they first began.
As well as recruiting extra guides and increasing the number of participants on each tour from 15 to 22 people, the number of tours has doubled too.
The tours include a visit to the escape refuges deep under the Mersey and entry to the Engineering Control Room.
Visitors also get to see one of the six giant ventilation stations in action.
Councillor Mark Dowd, chair of Merseytravel, said: "The tours, which tell of the history and inner workings of the tunnels, have really captured the public imagination. They are a fantastic success."
