Just booked tickets to ireland. But beent old by the better half that her family live 2 hours drive from dublin. that means our 2yr old soon will be stuck in the back lisening to it. anyone know how to make it quieter without taking it of (it's a rage 4" style 2) cheers. <img border="0" alt="[does this help]" title="" src="graemlins/cwemotions041.gif" />

give him a personal stereo to listen to so he cant hear it! lol! or just turn ya music up oud! thats prob wat i'd do ! hehe!

thats the one. the guy who done it welded it to the rest of my system so cant just take it off. was hoping you can but something on the end to build up back pressure again and make it quieter. im running original system as only 1.1cc so not worth change rest.

A little trick i used to do on Rally Cars before they entered the sound test was to ram "Wire Wool" or "Brillo Pads" up the exhaust pipe and drop a nail through a pre-drilled hole in the tail pipe of the exhaust to stop them coming out. Once through the sound test we would simply remove the nail and give the engine a good rev and blow all the "Wire Wool" out of the exhaust. It used to get the Rally Cars through the sound tests every time.

Not sure if this is the answer you are looking for but it is all i can think of to temporarily quieten down your exhaust without to much expence or adding an additional silencer to the exhaust system.....
