Twice today me car cut out at low revs, both times I was sat at traffic lights in neutral, didnt have me foot on the accelerator OR the clutch so revs were at their lowest... andyone know why this could be?

My old polo used to do that, mainly cause it was a poop engine, but it was a mucky carb i think.

Have you tried running petrol cleaner through it, works wonders.

Sounds like a dirty carb, run REDEX threw it mate - Think you bought some off me in work, its only £1 and you add it to your petrol.

I know that on the later mk 5 or 6, there is a problem with the fuel regulator or auto choke that plays up, my mate has had the same problem, ford quoted him £230 and that was for the part only.
