from drivin round ( abit too fast) in my mums car, there is now a noise comin from the engine that sounds like an induction kit, the noise isnt all the time and only happens sometimes!
anyone know what it might b, im thinkin a hole in the exhaust mayb??
cheers
saz xx
Could be a hole in the exhaust or the induction side of things ??
Have you checked the basics ? Oil & Water etc ?? Thats always a good starting point (Especially for the female driver)
Air filter may have water in it?
yes scooby i have checked them, im not that blonde hehe
damaged airbox??? sounds beefier??wheres the problem in that lol
If it happens when going round a corner, it could be an oil surge? The oil in the sump 'gushes' to one side as you corner and gets sucked up through the breather? I dunno, it might be. A properly welded in baffle plate cures this.
Or is it all the time? Check the manifold and the pipes around the cat.
It's easy to blame something for driving too fast though, it could be a total coincidence and something's just worn out through wear and tear.
no its not when i go round corners, it just kicks in sometimes, mainly when i go on the dual carriage way or faster roads. there would b nothin wrong wiv it soundin beefier scoop if it was my car but its my mum's, it did it when she was drivin it too other day
