think Ando is the man to ask. the thing that would put me off buying one is that it is a FWD car, an for what it is you'd expect it to be a rear. cant comment on the performance as i've not seen one properly going for it, but they do look ABSOLUTLY FANTASTIC, cant fault the looks <img border="0" alt="[cwsmokin]" title="" src="graemlins/cwemotions036.gif" />

The GPX is the top range model below the type-R, The type-R is slightly more powerful and lightened.

The GPX (Mivec) is 198bhp.
the GR is (no mivec, some people call these Nivecs), somthing like 180bhp, not alot of difference in performance, the biggest difference is between tiptronic, and manual.
There's the 1.8 too, which is gay.

The tiptronic is supposed to have a higher top speed, I can't think why anyone would want to go faster than 160 wink

On the GPX manual, like mine, 0-60 is quoted as 7.1 seconds, I have read however it's 6.8 to 60. They do almost 160 top end too, I've done 140 in mine, and it had plenty of power left, so I can belive that.

Yeah, low down they're not powerful at all, they're very much like the Civic typeR, you have to rev them really hard to go fast, I kinda like it, the noise is increadable, well it is now I've got an induction kit.

I've had mine a year, and it's only cost me in servicing, only one small thing has gone wrong, (the unit that keeps the revs at idle). It's amazing on the motorway for long trips, the seats are on the hard side, but compared to the green thing in my avatar it's luxury.

The brakes are the first thing I would sort, (given I had money at the moment, I'm currently looking for a job!). They've got good stopping power, but are prone to brake fade after 4 or 5 sessions of heavy braking, (steer away from green stuff pads as well, I think they're ****), some vented disks on the front sorts this though, and maybe some pretty pricey mintex pads.

Equipment...
Climate control.
Electric folding mirrors.
Powersteering.
Nerual based tiptronic gearbox (on the tiptronic version).
Self tuning Engine that adapts to what petrol you're putting in. (95 or 98 ron for instance)
later models include ABS, mine's a '95 and dosn't have this, I haven't needed it so far though.

Anything else you need to know?
