I have an astra est,which was my engine donor car.
Want to scrap it and believe scrap price is fairly gud at the mo.

Dont have the V5 but do have a receipt when i bought it.

What is the best way to scrap,and how much is the average price.

iirc for an astra with engine weight is around 60-70notes. just make sure brendon in mcoys does not weigh it make sure his daughter does as she gives the better price.

also the price of copper is high at the mo if anyone has any get rid.

If you phome neptune they will come and get it you just need to sigh a form.

Weight it in though as a scrapper will only give you about £20

Scrap is currently at about £75 per ton, but if you need the car collecting, it may be a case of "well get rid of it for you" sort of thing.

I scrapped a 5 door SMASHED TO FECK escort at xmas and it cost me nowt and earnt me nowt, just phoned the scrappy asking how much he charges to take it away,he said he'd just take it. Even tho it had no engine/bonnet/bumpers/glass/wheels/suspension/drivetrain

And ill be giving him another in a few weeks when i FINALLY get rid of me green 1.4

got to a scrap metal dealer as it may be a few quid

£25 and i will pick up,,
